Ardbeg Day? Non si sa ancora nulla! Dobbiamo aspettare le direttive della casa madre!
Anche se fino all'ultimo non si sapeva nulla di preciso l'anno scorso non andò malissimo.
Appena mi comunicano qualche cosa del programma sarà mia premura mettervi al corrente.
Mal che vada l'Ardbeg day lo facciamo noi.Ardbeg ne abbiamo.

Ardbeg AuriVerdes - Ardbeg Day Bottling - 49.9% -Outturn TBC


Nose: Hot, with some distinct Ardbeg smokiness (sweet cure bacon), alongside
a little dry spiciness, a big waft of vanilla pipe tobacco, expresso coffee,
a touch of ginger and an injection of some lighter citrus zest - fresh
lemon and lime. It's powerful, but with a light touch alongside - think
Didier Drogba...


Palate: More classic Ardbeg fullness, the smoke turning a little more
medicinal, with greener notes (fresh orchard fruit) and something a little
more savoury - sweet potato perhaps? There is a youthful zestiness at play
too but the mouthfeel is superb, with more smoked meat, vanilla and a
candied sweetness - the 10 year old is a good reference point, but it has a
little more depth alongside.


Finish: Surprisingly dry, with a lingering oaky spice, some sooty residue
and a last-gasp citrus bite.


Overall: Another Ardbeg that offers a real star quality. For those who were
fans of the likes of Alligator and Ardbog, this fits nicely into the
extended family. Enough of a team player, by not straying too far from the
10 year old, whilst also in possession of a few maverick tendancies.

Ho letto altre rece positive comunque.
Poi se lo bevi su Islay cambia tutto, mi sembrava buono anche il cardeas color tantum rosa.

E' vero su Islay é tutto più buono.
a me comunque l'ardbog non mi ha detto gran che esattamente come il fragolino di laphroaig, probabilmente questo é dovuto al fatto che si bevono tante cose buone che quelle normali deludono.
Poi beviamo qua l'ardbog e mi é sembrato migliore di quello provato su Islay.
Io dico che dopo la degustazione nelle warehouse di Ian Macartur a Lagavulin d'entrata sabato mattina l'asticella dei prodotti buoni sale di brutto e non é facile provare cose a quel livello.
comunque sembrerebbe che questo nuovo ardbeg sia finalmente un ardbeg!

Io dico che dopo la degustazione nelle warehouse di Ian Macartur a Lagavulin d'entrata sabato mattina l'asticella dei prodotti buoni sale di brutto e non é facile provare cose a quel livello.

Ci tocca anche quest'anno Gallus, dall'anno prossimo facciamo saltare la warehouse allora

Claudio sai quanto mi piacerebbe uscire con qualche sample dalla degustazione con Ian ..... chissà se ci sarà la sorpresa quast'anno, lui vorrebbe fare una bottle your own così da portarsi a casa una bottiglia con liquido tolto dalla botte e bottiglia riempita ed etichettata sul posto
