Kennacraig - Port Askaig/Port Ellen 27/01/2014 - As a result of the 1530hrs sailing from Kennacraig yesterday afternoon (early 1800hrs sailing) diverting to Port Askaig, the 0700hrs sailing from Islay this morning (Monday 27 January 2014) will be departing from Port Askaig and NOT Port Ellen as timetabled. ***Due to an adverse weather forecast - West/South Westerly winds gusting up to 40 Knots - the 0700hrs sailing from Kennacraig this morning (Monday 27 January 2014) will be diverting to Port Askaig. This will mean that the 0945hrs sailing from Islay will be departing from Port Askaig and NOT Port Ellen as timetabled. ***Due to the adverse weather forecast the Kennacraig/Islay Service will be on Amber Alert today and as such may be liable to disruption/cancellation at short notice. Calmac Ferries Ltd. apologise for any inconvenience caused.
